I’m putting together an Instagrammers Meetup at Vaksana Farms. This is a two-day retreat and unconference where 12 of the most passionate and creative Instagrammers in India will get-together for a weekend of intense knowledge sharing and learning…and sheer fun.
This InstaMeet will be part of the global meetups happening around the world. This is unique because it happens on an organic farm while most others happen in cities.
The event venue is a small farmhouse in the middle of a 13-acre farm.
This is not a commercial event. This is a community event that works on gift economy. It’s a no-profit and no-loss event where everyone equally pitches in. All expenses including food (breakfast, lunch, snacks, dinner), basic stay, labor, event materials etc will be equally shared by the participants.
If you are an Instagrammer who is fascinated with travel, landscapes, architecture, rural or creative photography, this will be a perfect fit. There are only 12 slots available for this Instameet. We welcome Instagrammers to apply. You are welcome to apply together with friends too. So, do tag your friends. If interested, please fill this form. https://goo.gl/forms/xtlPOiAclUwbyW4E2
Kudos to Shahul Hameed Dawood (standing next to Kamal) for pulling off the near impossible… organizing a *M.A.S.S.I.V.E* show getting almost the entire Tamil film fraternity to Malaysia…including Rajini and Kamal. This includes all the heroes and heroines of not just the current generation but previous two generations as well.
When I was in KL last year, I remember the time when Shahul and his team had started to ideate on this. Now to see his small but a cracker of a team pull this off is amazing and inspiring.
Today evening, I’m hosting and moderating the launch event of InterviewDesk, a marketplace which aims to be India’s largest community of interviewers. This is the entrepreneurial venture of Pichumani Durairaj, who comes with over 15 years of HR experience in companies such as Amazon and KLA Tencor.
It’s a fascinating experience to see the kind of planning and preparation that goes into the event. Multiple planning meets, conference calls, minute-by-minute scheduling, group updates over WhatsApp. This level of preparedness is a good indication of the attention to detail that will be invested in the new company.
Here’s wishing InterviewDesk and its team the very best.
Young Entrepreneur School (YES) is an organiztion which aims to encourage entrepreneurship. They have multiple chapters in smaller towns in Tamilnadu for they believe that these places lack opportunity and knowledge.
I was invited to conduct a workshop on Digital Marketing for business to about 80 entrepreneurs.
At the start of the event, everyone too a pledge. Among the many points, the one I liked best was this one.
I will pledge that that I will grow my business by a minimum of 30% year on year.
