Note: I haven’t confirmed this myself.
Today, I received this message from the mailing list of ‘Runners For Life’, a die-hard runners group in Bangalore. It carried the following message from one of the members.
“Apparently, the Gatorade bottles have been recalled due to some contamination. We had bought some of the orange flavor and had to return it to Foodworld. There, they told us that the orange and lemon flavors were contaminated and would be sent back to the company.“
Can someone double-check this the next time you go to the super market?
Gatorade is from Pepsi and if this news is true, its bound to stir up the ‘pesticide’ issue once again.
Gatorade is huge in the US and there are many who swear by it. Like this guy Darren who runs a dedicated blog about the drink.
Every time I see Gatorade stocked up in Nilgiris and Spencers Daily superstores, I wonder why the marketing blitz hasn’t begun on TV. The sports drink market is still virgin in India.

So, What is Ultimate Frisbee? Watch the Video.
Quite a few had written to me asking about ‘Ultimate Frisbee’. I figured this video below will give you a glimpse of the game. It’s a cross between American Football & Basketball.
I may have told this before, but let me say it again. It’s an amazing sport. Last weekend was my first game and I have already gotten sucked into it. It’s also quite a tiring game.
Kartikeyan, who is part of the team, strapped on his heart-rate meter just to check. And here are the readings.
During marathons, the average heart rate is 170 bpm. Well, you get the picture!
We’re playing the game tomorrow morning at 5:20 am and will play every Saturday at Elliots Beach.
The unofficial rules require at least two girls in every team. We haven’t found them yet. It’s a non-contact sport and I’d encourage girls to give the sport a try.
Take a look at the video. Especially, don’t miss the action at 2:35 into the video. Reminded me of Jonty Rhodes.

Ultimate Frisbee Tomorrow
I’m gonna wake up at 5:00 am to head out to a game of Ultimate Frisbee tomorrow at Elliots Beach, Besant Nagar. Missed the last few weekend games because of my travel.
I’ve been craving for a sport to join. Rowing was the only good sport I was successfully associated with for a long time but that’s stopped ever since I got out of Sify.
Looking forward to tomorrow. But first, I must catch up on reading about the rules of the game.
