Guinea fowls

Guinea Fowls were the first farm animals to grace our farm. We picked up male-female pair from a family who lived in a small town nearby. These birds have a strong character. They are our watchmen and create a ruckus when they sense any stranger in the farm. They are very possessive and territorial. Their strong aggressive nature means that they boss over the poor chickens and even the large sized turkeys.

These are free-ranging birds and they do not need a coop. They safely perch on top of the roof at night and they take care of themselves very well.

We definitely plan to add a dozen more guinea fowls. If you would like to sponsor a pair of keets (baby guinea fowls), that would be awesome.  You even get to name these birds.
