Received an evaluation version of Macromedia Contribute via courier. Giving it a spin to check if it really is the easiest “website builder for dummies”. It resembles a bit like Blogger.. You use its built-in browser to surf to the site and page you wish to edit; click an Edit Page button becomes an editing pane with intuitive, word-processor-like tools ranging from multilevel undo, font styles to a spell checker.

It’s a godsend for the webmaster who finally doesn’t have to get pulled everytime a spellng error needs to be corrected or a picture needs to be changed. Now even the humblest temp worker can take care, thanks to the idiot-proof editing tool. Even though it’s just $99, I’d say “No, thank you.” I’m doing just fine with Macromedia Dreamweaver.
