The new Via Processor has made PCs so very affordable. With this new processor, a PC costs below Rs.17,000 Rs.12,000. Sure, it doesn’t have so much muscle power like the Intel Pentiums but then this should be more than sufficient for most of the common uses …. surfing, games, MS office, watching movies. Perfect for a home PC. The Via should definitely give the Intels and the AMDs a run for their money. I’m planning to visit Ritchie Street ( which is where most of Chennai’s computers are sold) soon to take note of the latest prices.
