Milk and Petrol : Strange combination – I enter a petrol station in the evening and see a sign which says “Petrol for your bike and Milk for your home”. Looks like Arogya, the private milk company, has come out with a novel idea of pushing its milk sachets. The idea is that while the bike rider or car owner waits to fill in fuel for his vehicle, he can buy milk for his home without getting down from his vehicle. Not a bad promotional activity considering….
1) they get their target audience, typically middle class and upper middle class
2) even if not many actually buy milk, this activity creates awareness about the brand.
