Chinmayi sings for Aamir Khan’s Mangal Pandey

Chinmayi, who is a regular on A.R.Rahman’s music troupe has got her first big break in Bollywood. She’s sung a holy in Aamir’s Mangal Pandey.

She’s a fairly well known face down south having sung quite a few popular numbers in Tamil movies. You can find the full list here.

I used to know her since the time she used to intern for Sify, six years ago while she was still in School. She used to be part of CarnaticMusic.com team, showing a lot of interest and passion for music.

Our homes are just a jog away and after countless invitations from both of us to visit each other’s homes, she finally landed up home yesterday. She’ll be my daughter’s Godmother, giving her guidance in music.
