Since you will be staying in the middle of an active farm, you will have a wonderful opportunity to witness how farming is done. We encourage our guests to actively get into the field and try their hands at farming themselves. The best way to learn is by actually trying your hand at it.
Be it planting the seeds, irrigating the fields, weeding, mulching or harvesting the produce, its a good way to be actively involved.
Caring for Animals
We are in the process of setting up a cattle shed, a goat farm and a chicken pen. You can soon experience feeding and taking care of these animals. We have noticed that kids would love to feed the animals. A great opportunity for you to learn about integrated farming and how important animals are in a farm.
Caring for Animals
Rettanai Village is sandwiched between two rivers. The Periyaaru River on one side and Thondy river on another. There's water in the rivers only a few months in a year. In other months, they are relatively dry and makes for a good trekking route. If you haven't done it, you should try out this experience.
