{"id":121,"date":"2005-07-21T14:35:49","date_gmt":"2005-07-21T09:05:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.kiruba.com\/press\/?p=121"},"modified":"2012-05-29T12:44:19","modified_gmt":"2012-05-29T07:14:19","slug":"be-a-number-one-blogger","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kiruba.com\/press\/be-a-number-one-blogger\/","title":{"rendered":"Be a Number One Blogger!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The following trips have been gleaned from an experience of five years of blogging and numerous discussions with other top bloggers\u2026.<\/p>\n<p><strong>1)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong><strong>Get your own domain<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong>\u00a0Kick out the secondary blog address like.<\/p>\n<p>yourname. blogspot. com. \u00a0Buy your own domain. \u00a0Show you are a professional. \u00a0Show your serious enough.<\/p>\n<p>2) <strong>Get your custom email<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This has been my blog\u2019s best marketing tool. \u00a0Every time I send out an email, I promote my site in a submit manner. \u00a0My point is, why promote yahoo or hotmail, when you can promote yourself?<\/p>\n<p>3)<strong> Publish your URL in stationeries<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Use it in your E- mail signatures. \u00a0Use it in your business card. \u00a0In your letter pad. \u00a0Heck, I even have it on my helmet!<\/p>\n<p>4) <strong>Add a blogroll<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong>\u00a0It\u2019s the equivalent of you scratch my back, I scratch yours. \u00a0Sign up with blogrolling.com. \u00a0Add up your frequently read blogs.<\/p>\n<p>5)<strong> Ping<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you are using blogger.com, activate the ping option. \u00a0Sometimes, the automatic pinging doesn\u2019t work. \u00a0So, always fill up blogrolling\u2019s ping form.<\/p>\n<p>6) <strong>Register your blog at india.blogstreet.com<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong>Blogstreet is and will continue to be the most important blog directory. \u00a0Why wouldn\u2019t you want to be here?<\/p>\n<p>7) <strong>Provide RSS feeds<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong>\u00a0Many people use newsreaders to subscribe to their frequently read blogs. \u00a0Don\u2019t miss out on the crowd. \u00a0Make sure you site has RSS feeds. \u00a0If you don\u2019t know what this is, ask a tech friend.<\/p>\n<p>8)<strong> Write daily<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong>When people visit your site, they invest in their time and internet time.
