Closer home is Kiruba Shankar, organiser of Chennai’s first blogger meets. He used to cycle 21 kilometers everyday to and from work, although he’s cut down on that because there is no shower in his office. He’s been blogging since January 2002, in which time he’s cut his own hair, felt a bit feverish, cultivated a terrace garden, and accidentally entered the ladies’ loo. And you thought Chennai was a sleepy town where nothing ever happened!
