Coconut Hanuman Temple : There is this small unique temple in Chennai which has gotten pretty famous. The belief is that whenever you run into a major problem in your life, you can hope to get rid of the problem by tying a coconut to horizontally placed bamboo poles. Each cocount is numbered and you are given a token with the same number. A week later, you visit the temple, find the same cocount you had tied earlier and perform a pooja.

I’m not a believer in superstitions, but I must tell you I’ve personally seen people find solution to their problems. I’m not saying the problems got solved because of this technique, but it definitely gives people hope.
