Kiruba Shankar is an entrepreneur, social media consultant, speaker, author, teacher, podcaster and a farmer. He is the CEO of BusinessBlogging, a social media consultant firm. He also heads Vaksana Farms, a farming venture and Verdure Books, a publishing house. He has authored 4 books and is working on the next. He has written articles in leading business newspapers and magazines. He runs various projects catering to my diverse interests such as Kiruba TV, Kiruba FM, Cerebrate, Sponge etc. He is passionate about comics, antiques, vinyl records, business cards, running, cycling, rowing, traveling and blogging.

Kiruba Shankar is the CEO of Business Blogging, a leading social media consulting firm. He is one among Asia’s foremost experts in Digital strategies, enriched with decades of work experience in the online space.
He has diverse interests and has started multiple entrepreneurship ventures in various fields. He co-founded F5ive Technologies that does ‘Open Source Development’. His passion for agriculture and books, respectively, led him to start up Vaksana Farms and a publishing house called Verdure Books.
Prior to his entrepreneurship role, he was Associate Director of Sulekha.com and a senior manager at Sify.
He has been a technology columnist at The New Indian Express, Business Standard and Financial Express.
He sat on the advisory board of RangDe, a peer-to-peer micro-lending initiative supported by ICICI Foundation.
Kiruba is passionate about teaching. He is a visiting faculty at Great Lakes Institute of Management near Chennai and Bharathidasan Institute of Management at Trichy. He has lectured on Social Media at IIM Kozhikode, IIM Bangalore, IIT Madras and Asian College of Journalism.
