Disgrace in the Name of Religion

Mr. Joseph Tukwa watched helplessly as six of his children were burnt into ashes in Nigeria. They made him watch his children die screaming in agony. Why? Because his name is Joseph.

Someone publishes a cartoon in the distant Denmark, and guess who pays the price? The same folks who have lived with you for years. Your fellow countrymen.

My blood boiled as I read through the father’s plight. It hurts to even imagine what he must have been though.

Memories of our own disgraceful Gurarat riots flash by my mind. Wonder when we’ll all learn that human lives are more important than mere religion.
