It’s going to be one awesome weekend. I’m joining a dozen other bloggers passionate about travel for an extended weekend at Coorg. Club Mahindra has been sporty enough to host the entire gang at their resort there.

I’ve never been to Coorg before and the strong passion to visit the place stemmed from the college days. We had a stunningly beautiful girl at my college from this place and I’ve been constantly told that this part the country has the best looking girls. Proof? Try Aishwarya Rai, they tell me. I’m heading there 10 years too late! :)

The thing that interests me more is the company of fellow bloggers. Each one of them are interesting in their own right and are passionte about travel. Look forward to fun and bonding. Will link up to the gang on my return.

I’ve been to Club Mahindra’s Munnar resort and even better than the resort is it’s location. If that is any indication, the Coorg one should be something to vie for. Will wait to check out if it stands up to my rather high expectations.

I’m hoping to write a travelogue of my experiences, something that I haven’t done in a while. Now, off to catch the flight.

Is Club Mahindra sponsoring the event so that the bloggers review the resort?.. Or they are sponsoring a bloggers meet of some sort?.. Also it would be nice to know who are the other bloggers accompanying you?..

  2. Suyog says:

Have a nice time. BTW, Aishwarya Rai is not from Coorg, she is from Mangalore. Big difference.

  3. Observer says:

    Kribs,
A faux pas, if I’ve ever seen one. Ash, the most beautiful, is a Mangalorean & not a Coorgi. That said, you’re right, Coorgi girls are amongst the most beautiful. I still have a crush on one! ;)
    Cheers,

Kiraba, still you didn’t respond to my proposal to purchase your car (as you daily cycle to work and other places)

kiruba takes a well deserverd break from his family and friends, he deserves solitude in the company of fellow bloggers

You do social media work ( whatever that may be )for them. Then get free holidays from them for you and some more bloggers, so that you can come back and then go gaga about Club Mahindra.
Is this not like sponsored post or pay per post? Don’t this call for a disclaimer? Anyway you seem to use disclaimers to suit your convenience. Same goes for your interview with the CEO of Sybrant. There wasn’t a disclaimer that you do work for them on a commercial basis also??
Personally nothing against you in getting this goodies however it is fair to let know your readers that some commercialisation is also involved in these activities.

    Hey Kribs,

Iam actually going on a trek to coorg distt…going to Thadiyandmol and Brahmagiri peaks Itsa 5 days trek !

Coorg died the day British quit India. Now, it is Kodagu officially, nor Coorg!

Club Mahindra is one over-hyped resort with exuberant prices across its range of services. I would suggest tourists to try out Home Stays, which allow you to stay with Kodava families and enjoy the true hospitality of the district. This time of year will be pretty cold, so be sure to take lot of warm clothing.

Aishwaraya Rai belongs to the Bunt clan of Mangalore which includes Suniel and Shilpa Shetty, etc. BTW, Kodagu has tons of gals who will beat Aishwarya hands down any day. So much so for beauty!

    Check my blog on Kodagu:

Which idiots question the honesty of the great Kiruba ? All of you are jealous of Kiruba’s greatness and that he gets free Xboxes and paid holidays from his blog.

Kiruba is as honest as Jayalaliytha, though not as good-looking I am afraid to say.

  15. Anonymous says:

kiruba takes a longer break from family and friends goes to amesterdam direct from coorg, kiruba is genius manipulator

  16. Shalini Gowrisankar says:

Coorg is a lovely place.. Was there 3 years back ..We stayed in Orange county and loved the whole experience.. Waiting to read your travelogue.

kiruba is “jumping jack” of bloggers jumping from one place to another coorg-amesterdam- dont know where next, hope poor kiruba finds time to spend with his family and friends, he is sacrificing so much for sake of bloggers and blog community, kiruba take a break and check amesterdam in night but be weary of drug dealers and glass shops iam sure you will peep into it, you cheapo

  18. Anonymous says:

Only Kiruba would be nerdy enough to be at an elecronics convention in Amsterdam.

Oh thats right, somoeones got to pay the bills.

And now apparently he cant take criticism and shuts down comments. You have proven yourself unworthy of running a blog.

    Kiruba Castro?

  19. Anonymous says:

Yes he has shut down comments on those blog posts he thinks his masters will be looking at. But you have to give it to the charlatan. He is smoking dope and putting his two-incher into exotic power slots on Nokia’s bill.

Pity though that he still spells “cynical” as “synical” and uses words like “bloody hell” as if the mere use of such yuppisms will disguise his ineptness in English.

[I can see you go "Yeah, right" with a synical smile and that's totally understandable.]

kirubdate – still enjoying in amesterdam – you waste people who came to my blog to check for a new post every now and then will have to wait your lives

  21. Dev says:

Why do negative comments always come from “anonymous” ? What’s wrong in airing your views with your own id ? Is kiruba going to trace people down and take them to task. I know him folks – he wont ! So chill, all you anonymous types and dont be scared in revealing your identity when you write some thing negative
