The Bath Towel That Caught My Attention!

It’s these small things that really make up an experience. When we entered our room at the Club Mahindra resort at Binsar, the first thing that caught my eye was this White Swan on the bed.  When was the last time a simple bath towel that really caught your attention at any hotel or resort?

There was also a small leaf on the left corner of the bed (look closer and  you’ll find it) that had an handwritten welcome message in it.

The next day, we found a nice ‘flower towel’ decorating the bed!

Sure they know how to woo customers. Nice little touches.
Happy Deepavali.

Oh oh. And they made the towel all squishy. Wonder how it’d look like when you straighten it out to use it… Personally prefer towels that are ironed and straight out, but I guess for a Holiday getaway, things like this do catch one’s attention.

That’s some creative guy sitting there cooking up this stuff.

Note: MUST poach him :)

That certainly is some effort. Obvious a fact that it gets paid well.

The swan idea is just too good.

Very interesting. Yet another example to show how creativity can brighten up mundane activities too.

Me being a Club Mahindra member myself, have seen this creativity delivered at the resorts in Coorg and Goa too. Looks like they have ingrained this creative skill n concept into the housekeeping team across their resorts. In fact, it used to be a game for me & my 6-year old sonny to guess the shape created everyday when we got back to our room !! Never thought of posting this on my blog though all this while!!! Thank the KingBlogger for the idea :)

This is yet another ‘copy/learn’ from the western hospitality ! But surely glad that we are able to appreciate this !
We have been on couple of cruises from North America and this is a standard norm in all the cabins to make these kind of animals and birds and they even had a theme for our Alaska trip- all sea animals ! Just fyi… glad that you enjoyed it.
