Got a Question for MD of Microsoft India?

Today at 3PM, we will have the privilege of having Rajan Anandan, Managing Director of Microsoft India, as the guest at ‘The Kiruba Show’.

‘The Kiruba Show’ is a podcast interview series with CEOs and top brass of Indian and international companies. The show follows a friendly conversational tone. You can find the old podcasts here and the new site will soon be launched with the fresh set of podcasts, which includes interviews with SAP MD, Jeffrey Archer and many.

I’m a firm believer that the collective knowledge of the audience is far higher than just any one individual. The show extensively uses Social Media to have the readers actively be part of the program. You have the chance to ask questions and we will pass it on to the CEO on your behalf. Due credit will be given. While asking the questions, your name and your profile will be mentioned. When the interview eventually gets published, your blog, twitter and LinkedIn profiles will be linked to.

Quite honestly, I’ve been meaning to give due credit to people who contributed with your questions and I plead guilty for not giving enough credit. That’s one area that I really will be working on correcting it.

If you had the chance to meet the MD of Microsoft India, what is the one question you would like to ask him? Here is how you can pass on your questions.

Hi Kiruba,

This is my question for the Microsoft India CEO. Microsoft used to be one of the most marquee companies IT professionals can work for. Folks used to say that they have projects in the pipeline for 50 yrs. However very disturbing to hear Steve Ballmers note today in the press that MS is going to layoff more staff if the financial crisis prolongs. My question is that “Does the worlds leading software company Microsoft need to resort to employee layoffs to combat the recession? Can they with all their intelligence not resort to other measures like lowering costs, reducing product prices, reducing license fees, scrapping non yielding innovation projects etc?” I expect more from a company like Microsoft. Also if the tagline is to remove bottom performers, I dont agree as MS typically hires the best in the industry and subjects potential employees to the industrys most rigorous entrance tests. The good news is that MS India is only going to layoff 55 people. Kiruba I follow you on twitter (my handle is @masareus). But could not post this on twitter as the 160 character limit is too hard.

Regards,
Mark

Hi Kiruba, thanks again for this opportunity.. My question; Why does steve ballamer still calls linux as a funny little OS.. In reality all major IT companies deploy their critical applications in Linux or solaris.. Can ever institutional companies compete with social computing?. is it possible to bring in social computing style into institutions (whc gives more imp to process)

Hello sir, thanks for this opportunity..

Hmmm if i get a chance to speak with him i will just ask him few questions..

1) Why Microsoft is not ready to release its products as open source.. ?? atleast it should have some alternate idea’s or versions about the Open Version.

2) why Microsoft has not yet constructed in chennai.. While its in AP… Chennai’s growth would enhance with the microsoft Coming to chennai. Microsoft has no interest in chennai ah ..???

3) For getting Microsoft Certified, The students over here get very less promos and vouchers when compared to the US and other country.. Why..?? If they release much offers and vouchers, we people can get more benefits..
I say this because, i am microsoft certified and i own a Microsoft Certification blog, and the best example for the vouchers available in the US Stud in the Microsoft DREAMSPARK Website, They give free certifications for the stud.. but not applicable in India…

Check this site at the bottom…

https://www.dreamspark.com/Products/Product.aspx?productid=24

if you can solve this problem this would brings out the much stuffs from young students.

Thats all i have for now.
