There’s no dearth of monkeys at our village as you can see in this video. They aren’t afraid of people. Infact, they will stroll past you as if you didn’t exist. The villagers too have accepted them. Earlier they would shoo them away with fire crackers because the monkeys would damage their roof tiles. But now with most houses turning concrete, monkeys are less of a menace and they let them be.
We forgot to raise our car windows and the monkeys coolly walked away with mangoes we had gotten from our farm !
While they steal mangoes from the car, strangely they don’t steal them from the mango groves. The monkeys prefer to stay where the humans are and rarely ever visit the farms. Strange is this village life!!
