Shoot the surveillance cameras : Not with a gun. But with your own camera. It’s part of a campaign to stop the excessive monitoring of people. So to give the surveillance people a taste of their own medicine, World Sousveillance Day is celebrated on December 24th, eve of Christmas. ‘Sousveillance is the opposite of Surveilance, meaning “viewing from below”. On this day, people are encouraged to head out, in disguise, to their favorite malls and public spaces, and photograph all the security cameras they find. The idea is that when security people find themselves on the other side of the camera, they lose their anonymous power of surveillance, and it makes them feel vulnerable. !!
