Probably the most shocking rumour to be heard in recent times is Microsoft’s takeover of Macromedia. I would normally have let this pass as innocous but when the news appears on Slashdot and The Register, it better be taken seriously. I’ve been associated with Macromedia for over three years as part of the user group program and it’s kinda surprising to hear such a news. I always thought Macromedia to be an independent player aiming to be amongst the software biggies. Well, long back I thought the same about Allaire until they sold their soul and spirit to Macromedia. Hmmm… now probably I won’t be that surprised if Macromedia sells out to Microsoft.
