TRAI , how can you do this to us? With all this competiton in the telecom sector, I’d expected the charges of cellular phone service to really fall down. So much so that it would be lesser than the landline phone cost. And I figured, the landline basic telephone service providers would naturally lower the prices. Now the exact opposite has happened. Not only is there an increase in monthly rental, per call duration has been cut from 3 minutes to 2 minutes and the free calls halved from 60 to 30 calls. It’s a very dissapointing decision. There is no doubt that the private telecom companies have heavily greased the palms of the TRAI commission.
