I’m attending a Jazz Piano concert tomorrow 7:00 p.m at the Max Mueller Bhavan. It’s a concert by Madhav Chari, an Indian who is now settled in New York. He went to the US in 1986 to do his undergraduate and masters degree in mathematics. Then while half way thru his Ph.D he realised that his heart was in Music and quit his research to become a fulltime Jazz Pianist. Pretty strange switch… but if you ask me, I appreciate him for following his heart.
Tomorrow, I’m gonna watch him perform. It’ll be inspiring to watch a professional at work and hopefully it’ll rub off on me. My electronic keyboard learning is bound to get a fillip.
