Don’t Give Us Fish. Please Give Us The Fishing Rod

The most commong request from the affected fisherfolks has been request for help that helps them in the long term. While they are grateful for people giving them food and short term help, they realise the need to be on their own feet rather than depending on others for living. They realise that relief will dry up soon.

They had been requesting for help in buying fishing nets and repairing their boats as their top priority to getting back to their normal life.

So we are using the second installment of funds collected through blogs for buying fishing nets. We are off this evening to buy them.
