My stand was that Social Media platforms are meant to express our individual opinion, even if it is critical. When we go public, there will always be people who may not like what we say. This is where we need to be careful in not feeding the trolls.
This case is important because it gives hope to thousands of women who have so far been subjected to different forms of cyber attack. It shows that authorities will crack down and that should feed in the fear into people who attack.
On a personal note, I realized the ocean of difference in communication skills between the other panelists and me. It clearly showed how much I need to improve in public speaking in Tamil. Also, had my first few seconds of brain freeze on live TV!!
