Spoke to 450 students of Chettinad Institute of Technology at Karur on important life skills. Felt sad for them. The education system has dumbed them down so much that they are extremely shy, introvertish and lack self-confidence. Had to resort to quizzes, games, gangnam style dance, mexican waves, pranks and gifts to break the ice and get them to engage. At the end of 1.5 hours, the group was a riot and loud laughter everywhere. Lesson learned: Every student needs an encouraging platform to shine.
