I’m using Asian Paint’s WoodFinish brand of varnish for the ‘Thoons’ (wooden pillars). They protect against termites (which is abundant in farmlands) and hopefully against the sun & rains. For anyone considering pillars, I would strongly urge you to go for stone pillars instead of wooden ones.
