Mohammed Asif Iqbal Sr. Consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers Pwc, Iqbal once tried hard for acceptance, for his teachers at his Bhagalpur primary school to understand that he couldn’t read clearly what they wrote on the blackboard. They asked his father to withdraw him from school because “with only 50 per cent vision,” the boy was whiling his time away. He wasn’t going to make it, they told his father.

Of course, the teachers were wrong. At 16, after he lost all his vision, Iqbal’s uncle took him to Oregon, USA, where he enrolled in a special needs school with special educators.

Vinita Bali, Chief Executive Officer, Britannia

Vinita Bali, Managing Director, Britannia Industries,joined the company as Chief Executive Officer in January 2005. Since Vinita joined Britannia as CEO in 2005, the company almost doubled its turnover in just four years, growing at an annual rate of c23%, as compared to the previous three years’ 10-11% growth. She has led Britannia’s charge beyond its core biscuits business into categories such as dairy and bakery, and moved into international markets with Britannia’s range of products. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from LSR at the University of Delhi and her MBA at the Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies at Bombay University. She pursued postgraduate studies in Business and Economics at Michigan State University on a scholarship from The Rotary Foundation, and was selected to work as a Graduate Intern at the United Nations headquarters in New York.

Yachan Gunja Mahendran (born 21 January 1950) is an Indian dramatist, actor, singer playwright and comedian from the state of Tamil Nadu. He has acted in a number of plays and films. He is the son of Y. G. Parthasarathy, regarded as one of the pioneers of modern Tamil drama and Rajalakshmi Parthasarathy, founder and dean of Padma Seshadri Bala Bhavan group of schools. He is also the cousin of one of the biggest Bollywood actress Vyjayanthimala and Latha Rajinikanth.

Pommie Mbangwa, Cricket Commentator, Ex-Zimbabwe Crickter

Mpumelelo Mbangwa (born 26 June 1976 in Plumtree) is a former Zimbabwean cricketer and currently, a cricket commentator. He played 15 Tests and 29 One Day Internationals for Zimbabwe. After finally being dropped from the international side after the 2002 Champions Trophy, he took up work as a cricket commentator for television, and he has remained in that line of work since. He is also known under his nickname Pommie.
Given a qualification of 20 innings, Mbangwa has the lowest batting average of all Test cricketers. However, as of 2008, he is one of nine Zimbabweans to have taken 30 Test wickets, and of those only Heath Streak and David Brain took them at a lower average.
