Puneet Sahani or âThe Colorful Hitchhikerâ as he is better known in traveling circles has hitchhiked (thatâs basically traveling by soliciting lifts from strangers on the road) for over 100,000kms across 35 countries. Puneet usually travels alone and without a map, and is touted as the greatest hitchhiker from people of color.
Prior to immersing himself in the road, Puneet also dabbled in Science (worked at top Artificial Intelligence labs across three continents), Policy (mentored by noted educators like Dr. Domingo Docampo) and Journalism (contributed as columnist on Asian politics to the Spanish newspaper âXornalâ).
To know more about this unique traveler check out the article on his scandalously awaited book âMy World through Areolasâ, or watch his popular TEDx talk âLeaving Securities, Living Insecuritiesâ where he showcases the western indulgence of chasing wanderlust in light of eastern mysticism.
Puneet is currently loosely based in Berlin pursuing a Masters in Public Policy from the Hertie School of Governance, where he tries to marry his unconventional way of understanding real-world issues with traditional approach of the academia.
