Invited to Eid function

I got an invitation today from a muslim colleague of mine to attend the annual Eid get-together function his family was hosting. I wholeheartedly accepted the invitation. Everytime I see someone cross the borders of religion to invite people, it brightens my spirit.

I also promised to bring along my wife and daughter. My daughter has never been to a muslim fuction. So its going to be an education of sorts for her. I also want to incultate in hervery early the importance of religious unity. I believe religions should maintain their individuality. At the same time it’s important to build harmony amongst them.

I had something planned for that day but I made sure I adjusted the plan to accomodate the invitation. A chance like this shouldn’t be missed. And oh! Don’t forget the lip smacking briyani!!
