What’s the Big Deal?
I land at Oakland airport in California, and notice a high profile press conference happening in the main lobby. There are about five TV station guys with cameras covering the event. There were guys in expensive suit sitting on a table answering questions from reporters. I get a little curious and go near to find out what its all about.
To my surprise, it’s a launch of free Wi-Fi service by Sprint at the airport. I was taken aback. Why is it that such mundane things like a Wi-Fi service is given such a big fanfare. Heck, Chennai Airport had Wi-Fi a few months back.
