Mani Ratnam may sound the deathknell for burgeoning Sri Lankan tourism industry. I mean, one look at his latest movie, “Kannathil Muthamittal” would give the impression that blasts and gunfires happen everyday in all busy streets. Just when SriLankan Airlines and other travel agencies are offering such fantastic discounts ( as low as Rs.10 K for a 4 day vacation in 5 start hotels plus airfare !! ) to encourage Indians to travel to Srilanka, this movie would simply reverse the decision made by any prospective tourist.
