Example of bad usability in fridges : We had bought a big pack of ice cream and I kept it in the freezer for the night. There was a circular nob in the fridge which had numbers from 1 to 10. Since I wanted the ice cream to be frozen tight, I turned the knob to 1 for deep cooling. When I woke up in the morning, I found a big puddle of water mixed with liquid ice cream all over the floor. It was then I realised that the knob was designed like a fan regulator…. the lower the number, the lower the power. People would easily misconstrue lower number for lower temperature…like I did. Wish they could’ve explained this better.
