Pagal Regatta

The day after the Final races is the day of the ‘Pagal Regatta’. It’s when all rivalry is forgotten, race tension is gone and everyone gets down having good fun. We had a ‘Beer & Biriyani’ afternoon when complete booze and food is on the house.

The Pagal Regatta is again an age old tradition. It’s when really strange games are played on the murky Adyar river. Ever heard of a Sculls Tug of War or a real ‘Take her home’? I’m sure you have not. Check out the pics below to get an idea.

Disclaimer : You might find a few photos disgusting. But, if you are into rowing or experienced the tradition of Madras Boat Club, it’s all so natural!!! 🙂
