Sometimes, it beats me as to why anyone would want to change a logo that’s so well entrenched in people’s mind. I can understand them looking for a brand change looking for a market beyond PCs. In any case, the new logo sucks. The swirl in the new logo has been one of the most used ones in a lot of logos. You’re asking for mediocrity right away.
And on top of it all, Intel will spend $2.5 billion in marketing campaign to announce the changeover! Whaat?! That looks to me like a shit load of money.
It’s also changing the tagline from ‘Intel Inside’ to ‘Lead Ahead’. That’s not bad. But the logo is below par. Intel could’ve done better.
