You know a couple on a honeymoon is having a good time when you see a picture like this! Boy, love their attitude. 🙂 (Warning : May not be suitable for office viewing)
It’s the 21st century, yet some of the strange traditions hasn’t left us. When we visited a relative’s place, we gave them a bottle of pickle which my grandma had prepared. After we finished our two day visit at their place and about to leave, my aunt who is the host, thrust a one rupee coin in my wife’s hand.
Apparently giving pickle to family members will create enemity amongst families. So by giving one rupee, you are actually buying the stuff thus evading the bad omen. !!
So, if you have been trying to call me, you won’t reach me. I’ve given it for resurrection but its survival is doubtful. Until then, I’m reachable on my office number at (044) 22540777 extn: 2217 during daytime and (044) 52133619 at late evenings.
I Married into a Movie Director’s Family! Wow. 🙂
I just got to know that my wife’s maternal Great Grandfather was a movie director. He has directed 10 movies in 1940s and even acted in a few of them. He may be no more but his movies continues to live on. They showed one of his movies in Raj TV last Sunday. My wife’s grandmother stayed glued to the through the entire, obviously very proud of her father.
It’s amazing how we continue to learn interesting titbits about our family.
Thanks to Anita Bora’s intitiative, there’s a BMBM meet happening on the second weekend of this month, coinciding with the Bangalore International Marathon. I’ve personally known quite a few guys there and look forward to touching base again. Can’t wait to meet the new folks.
It’s very heartening to see some of the Bangalore blogger folks come out to cheer and support the runners during the marathon. That’s pretty swank.
This will also be my first blog meet outside of Chennai. I’m looking at picking up a few tips for Ramya’s article for the Hindu on Blog Meets.
Gosh! Don’t remember the last time I plugged myself out completely. Can’t say it was totally enjoyable. I did miss checking my emails. We visited a relative’s place and it was totally lazing around time.
Sudhish Kamath’s movie That Four Letter Word (TFLW) seems to be shaping up well judging from the successful photoshoot. Here’s the first look at the film’s cast. Looks like a great pick. Kudos to the photographer too.
Since last evening, I’ve been highly fascinated with 43Things.com, a site which encourages you to tell the 43 things you would like to do in your life. It’s interesting and very encouraging to see other’s goals in life.
I’m a firm believer in making wishlists.. It’s important to put pen to paper and write down the goals in life. I feel its the first right step in making those wishes come true.
Ok, now back to the 43Things. I’ve compiled my own listand it was a great experience collating them. I’ve conciously made sure to only write down achievable goals and things that I’m passionate about. For a long time, I’ve been very protective and kept these wishlists to self. Now, I have no qualms in revealing them.
