I’m going trekking in Tada, a wonderful hilly forest area at the border between Tamilnadu & Andra. It’s even got a waterfall and hopefully should be in full flow due to the rains. We’ll be camping overnight. It’s been ages since I went on a full fledged ‘rough-it-out’ kinda trek and am looking forward to the adventure.

Chennai is experiencing one of the best rains in recent months. Its such a welcome relief. Rains usually means inconvenience to the city life but I’m yet to find someone who cribs about it. Such is the want for water here.

As for me, I’m glad I don’t have to water my terrace garden for a week 🙂

I had made a visit to my great great grandfather’s native village this weekend. The village is called Rettanai, near Tindivanam, and has been home to over 7 generations of our family. . The house where my grandfather’s grandfather’s father (!!) had lived still continues to exist. This is also the house where I spent a few years of my childhood here. It was such a nostalgic experience. Will never forget the experience.

The most unfair thing about life is the way it ends. I mean, life is tough. It takes up a lot of time. What do you get at the end of it? Death. What’s that, a bonus?!?

I think the life cycle is all backwards. You should die first, get it out of the way. Then you go live in an old age home. You get kicked out for being too healthy, go collect your pension, then, when you start work, you get a gold watch on your first day. You work forty years until you’re young enough to enjoy your retirement.

You drink alcohol, you party, and you get ready for High School. You go to primary school, you become a kid, you play, you have no responsibilities, you become a little baby, you go back, you spend your last 9 months floating with luxuries like central heating, spa, room service on tap, then you finsih off as an orgasm!!

Cash2India.com is a great way to get hold of your money stuck in PayPal. If you live in India and have money in Paypal, you’ll know what I’m talking about. The rules state that only a person outside of India (US, UK etc) can send in money to India. But Cash2India bends the rules for you. They suggest you create a dummy account with a dummy US address and then use that to send money to yourself. I tried it and it worked real neat. And what’s more, their $$ commissions are much lower than Western Union.

24×3 Car Exhibition : For three consecutive days, 24 hours, day and night, Chennai’s best second hand car exhibiton was held at the YMCA grounds. This is by far the most enjoyable, unhurried, relaxed visit I had ever made to an exhibition.

We landed at the ground after watching a late night movie. The huge ground was filled with every single model on the market. All cars were open and we had unrestricted access to test them out.

I feel this is the way exhibitions will be held from now on. Empower the customer. Give him the widest range. Give him lots of freedom. Widen the timings. Make it easy. Then walk away with profits.
