The well is a big advantage.  The thing I love about this well is that even in the height of summer, it does not dry up.  However, this well is highly dilapidated and is slowly crumbling. Last year, a quarter of the perimeter of the well had collapsed in.  Repair work needs to be done to save the rest of the wall.

There is no electricity yet for the land. So, the only way to draw water from the well is by a diesel engine. Its not a long term option especially when active irrigation starts. We will soon start the process of getting an electricity connection and once we have it, we will replace the dieself engine with a motor pump.

An underground piping system work is underway and this should greatly help in better irrigation, making efficient use of the water avaiable.
